If you fancy yourself a gearhead and had a wall in the ‘80s or ‘90s, chances are good that you had a poster of the Ferrari F40. Perhaps you even had a few F40 Hot Wheels to match. To this day, the Ferrari F40 remains a dream car for many Prancing Horse enthusiasts. Ferrari only made a total of 1,311 F40 cars during its brief production window and every so often, one of them hits the auction block. This one in particular is set to fetch upwards of $3,400,000 when it goes to auction in Miami on March 1st.
This model is different from many of the others that you’ll occasionally find for sale or auction in that it has had only one owner, shows less than 750 miles on the odometer, and received a major service totaling over $70,000 last year. The aforementioned F40 also retains the matching number body, engine, chassis, and gearbox. If your plan is to acquire a Ferrari F40 at some point in your life, this would be the one to consider.
