Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini Motorcycle
When two of the biggest players on the Italian motorsports podium join forces, the entire world takes notice. The all-new Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini Motorcycle marks the second collaboration between the two motorsports powerhouses. It definitely has the racing heart and soul you expect combined with the precision performance that defines the two companies.
The first time Ducati and Lamborghini worked together on a bike was a huge success and this new project follows a similar gameplan. If you are a Ducati enthusiast, you definitely remember the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini. The inspiration behind that bike was the Lamborghini Sián.
Once again, Ducati draws inspiration from an Italian supercar. This time it is the Lamborghini Huracán STO, which is a Super Trofeo homologated race car. The new Lamborghini Ducati Streetfighter motorcycle delivers 208 horsepower to the streets with impeccable style. Don’t let that stylish finesse fool you though, this bike has a mean streak and does not back down from any fight.
At the heart of that performance is a 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine. The design of this engine features desmodromic distribution from MotoGP engineering. When you hear this engine accelerating, you want to push it to wide-open throttle every time. The exhaust tone is the sound of perfection. Why would you expect anything less from Ducati?
Don’t worry, you have plenty of stopping power and a race-tuned suspension for all your knee-dragging needs when approaching turns. The Brembo braking system features Stylema calipers and 330 mm discs. As for the suspension system, you have Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active technology working in your favor.
Even the rims and livery are based on the aforementioned Lamborghini Huracán STO. This bike is gorgeous and it is freakishly fast. Perhaps the best part about this MotoGP-inspired bike is that it is street legal. After all, isn’t that where a Streetfighter belongs?
Ducati makes it easy for you to set up the Streetfighter V4 for track-use though. This includes an open carbon fiber cover for the dry clutch. There are also caps for the removal of the license plate and rear-view mirrors. On top of that, Ducati even provides you with a racing fuel cap.
There is some fine print though. This is a limited production Ducati motorcycle. They will only build a total of 630 Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini Motorcycles, plus an additional 63 bikes reserved for exclusive Lamborghini Huracán STO owners. Those select Lamborghini customers will be able to customize the rims and livery to match their Huracán STO.
You may be wondering, why 63? Well, 1963 was the year Lamborghini was founded. This is an exclusive bike from Lamborghini and Ducati. For many Ducati enthusiasts, this is their new dream bike. With 208 hp and 90.4 pound-feet of torque roaring from a high-revving Ducati engine, let the drooling begin.
