Some might say that Jim Marshall helped define the sound of a generation. When he created the Marshall amplifier in the 1960s, musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, and Eric Clapton were early fans, catapulting the brand to superstardom and contributing to the unique and legendary sounds of those who were privileged to use them.
Now, the company has refreshed its lineup with the unveiling of its third generation of home speakers, promising an even wider soundstage than its predecessor and re-engineered for a more immersive experience.
The tweeters on the Acton III, Stanmore III, and Woburn III now angle outwards (instead of forward-facing), to deliver consistently solid sound. They’ve also been equipped with 5.2 Bluetooth technology, and have adopted a more sustainable approach with a PVC-free build that comprises 70% recycled plastics and only vegan materials. The trio has also been given a stripped-back makeover while retaining signature details including the Marshall script, and it’s available in three finishes — original black, vintage cream, or relaxed brown.
