During Jack Daniel’s 150-year tenure, we’ve come to expect a limited release every other year, and the brand has yet to disappoint. This year, Jack Daniel’s has introduced its American Single Malt, a permanent addition to their whiskey lineup that showcases a depth of flavor and character for the discerning whiskey aficionado.
This single malt delivers aromas of gentle oak, fruit, and cocoa, transitioning to flavors of dark chocolate-coated nuts and berries. A distinguishing feature is its subtle, sweet Oloroso Sherry finish. The whiskey is crafted using a 100% malted barley mash bill, which undergoes grinding, fermentation, and distillation in Lynchburg. Following this, the whiskey undergoes the Jack Daniel’s signature charcoal mellowing process and is aged in new, charred American oak barrels.
An additional layer of complexity is added by finishing the whiskey in Oloroso Sherry Casks. Presented at 90 proof (45% abv) in a 1-liter bottle, Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt is available now at select duty-free stores globally.
