After taking an initial pop quiz (again, no ability to fail), the coffees you choose are roasted based on your own specified preferences.
You’re in charge of your roast profile, grind, type (blend, single origin, espresso, or decaf), and shipment frequency, and have a choice of two cost tiers (deluxe and exclusive). The website is easy to use, and your own personal coffee concierge is available to help you should you run into any snags.
Stumptown Coffee Roasters
Stumptown Coffee is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, and has been in existence since 1999. They’re the ones who’re responsible for bringing the painfully dark Hairbender into this world. When it comes to tier coffee subscriptions, they keep it simple. You have your choice of a “blend Shuffle”, which is what Stumptonw refers to as a “mixtape” of their greatest hits. This package also includes occasional special release roasts. Their Roasters pick is a continuous circuit of their news and most epic single-origins.
Each subscription includes your choice of one 12-ounce bag or a five pounder delivered weekly to every four weeks. They don’t offer ground coffee, (because fresher is better). While Stumptown Coffee Roasters subscription services a bit on the pricier side, your shipping is always free, and you can pause your delivery at any time.
Nomad Coffee Club
Delivered straight from the City of Angels, Nomad Coffee Club roasts up a different coffee every month. It’s the simplest java bean subscription service you can have: The “set it and forget it” kind. Nomad Coffee Club is committed to sustainable practices, and is not only Rainforest Alliance certified, but also only uses direct trade practices.
